Life is an adventure. And what better time to start a new phase of adventuring than 2012, fabled year of portents and prophecies? With the coming of the new year Nooshin and I assumed our new managerial roles, saying goodbye to Tushti and Surendra, our friends and mentors, who had so lovingly shepherded East West through the last nine years.
Any new job, like any adventure, can be used as a vehicle for spiritual growth. The blessing of working for an organization like East West is that everybody here knows that, and does their best to live up to their spiritual values every day. The support we receive from the entire staff—both practically and spiritually—has made this transition smoother than we would have thought possible. We are immensely grateful and honored to be working here in such company.
This spiritual attitude of the staff infuses everything we do here at East West. It's true that making money is a necessity if we want to keep the doors open and the lights on, but our primary mission is to be of spiritual service. We know the value of a Divine connection in our own lives, and are drawn to share that with others, at whatever level and in whatever direction works best for them.
The products we sell are chosen to be uplifting and inspiring, from the books and music, to the clothing and jewelry, to the crystals, incense, artwork, meditation supplies, and countless other items. In choosing, displaying, and selling these, we're also deliberately sharing the positive vibrations that infuse them. These vibrations are palpable, simply upon entering the store.
